Elton, Louisiana
Funeral mass for Mrs. Mildred LaFleur, 82, will be held Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Visitation will be Friday from 3pm-10pm and will continue Saturday at 8am until time of service.
Mrs. LaFleur was a resident of Elton. She was the mayor of Elton for 22 years and the first woman mayor in Louisiana.
Mrs. LaFleur passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in a local hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth LaFleur of Elton & Kurt LaFleur of Kinder; brother, Sherman Ortego of Elton; two sisters, Nettie Kersh of Elton & Shirley Guillory of Lake Charles; granddaughters, Kimmberly LaFleur of Elton; Lisa LaFleur Benoit and husband Katlin of Lake Charles; and Amy LaFleur Davis and husband Trey of Alexandria, Louisiana; 3 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Elridge Lafleur; great grandson, Timothy Wayne Linscomb.
Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder, Louisiana was in charge of services.
