He and Betty Putnam married in Sutton on November 14, 1776.

Revolutionary War Patriot. Image of the record of his service extracted from Vol. 10, Pg. 217 of the Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors in the War of the Revolution is posted with in the photographs.

He is identified as Lieut. Stephen Marble on Pg. 250 of the History of Sutton, 1704-1876, indicating that he continued to serve in the Massachusetts Militia after the war.
