Born Aug. 22, 1947, in Boone County, W.Va.,he was a son of the late Clarence and Mary Pickle Vanhoose.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include two sons, Micky Vanhoose and Austin Vanhoose,both of West Van Lear; a daughter, Robyn Vanhoose of Staffordsville; three brothers, Wade Vanhoose of Columbus, N.M.,Harry Vanhoose and Ronald Vanhoose, both of Paintsville; twosisters, Karen Hackworth of Paintsville, and Emma Gail Blanton of East Point; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb.28, at Phelps and Son Funeral Home, Paintsville, with John Michael Blanton officiating.Burial was in Staffordsville Church Cemetery, Staffordsville,under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
