Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Albert Hackworth, 80, who died Friday, December 15, at his Paintsville residence.
Mr. Hackworth was born September 29, 1920, in Floyd County, to the late Jackson and Elizabeth Shell Hackworth. He was a carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Edna Hackworth; two sons, Gary of Paintsville and Larry of Rockhouse; three daughters, Debra Hackworth Blair of Paintsville, Dianna Hackworth Brown of Roseville, Michigan, and Jacqueline Hackworth Merrell of Fairview, North Carolina; two sisters, Ruby Snaveley of Ada, Ohio, and Lorrane Wright of Sarasota, Florida; and 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Jeffery Burchett officiating.
Burial followed in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
