Noah Castle, 79, a retired coal miner died Sunday, August 5, in a Prestonsburg hospital after an extended illness.
A resident of Thealka and a member of the United Baptist church he was born June 15, 1894.
In addition to his wife, Katie C. Castle, surviving are seven sons,Clarence of New Albany,IN, Joe of Bellefonte, OH, Jimmie of Christiansburg,OH, Elmer of Mt.Gilead,OH, Clinton of Urbana,OH,Clifton of Mt.Gilead,OH and Noah Earl of Mt. Gilead, and two daughters, Mrs.Lizzie Ellen Caudill of Troy, OH and Mrs.Lou Ella Conrad of Flint,MI.
Also surviving are 44 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday, August 8 in the Old Hood United Baptist Church with Revs.Arnold Reed, C.J.Sparks and Florida Lyons officiating.
Burial was in the Old Hood Cemetery at Winifred under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
