I'm not sure where this story comes from, I heard it from several persons in the family:
that Robert was being baby sat at the house while the family was working in the fields and Mother was in Labor with child Samuel.
They told the babysitter to not let him eat "Green Apples". She did not watch him well and he ate a bunch of Green Apples and passed away before they could get him to the Doctor.
I have never heard of a Green Apple being bad. I've never understood the story. I do remember that Eunice (Hubbard) Meadows was one of the persons that told me about it, as well as my father, William (Bill) Hubbard.
The day that Robert passed away, his brother Samuel was born.
