Hallie Hubbard Swinson, 69, of Richmond, retired legal secretary with Seaboard Coast Line, died February 13, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Harry H. Swinson, Jr.; daughter, Pamela Swinson Venitz and her husband, Dr. Jurgen Venitz of Richmond; two sisters, Lois Young and Flossie Woolridge, both of Richmond; four brothers, Newton Hubbard, Walter Hubbard, both of Richmond, Sam Hubbard of Northern Virginia, and William M. Hubbard of Crewe, VA; also two grandchildren, Heather Swinson and Wilhelm Harry Venitz, both of Richmond. Mrs. Swinson was a member of the Monacan Junior Women's Club, various garden clubs, Seaboard Bridge Club and a member of the Bridge Center. She was active in many civic fund drives for cancer, Red Cross and others. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. Private interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
