ALBERT HODIK SERVICES TODAY AT NEWFOLDEN
Albert Hodik, 73, of Thief River Falls and formerly of the Newfolden community, died Thursday at Northwestern hospital.
Funeral services for Albert Hodik will be held today (Monday) at 2 p.m., at the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Newfolden with Rev. Hans Floan officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Dale Rokke, soloist, and Mrs. Vernon Nelson, organist. Interment will be in the Oak Grove cemetery at Newfolden. The Green Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Lester Elseth, Harlan Melo, Clarence Larson, Stanley Holmaas, Willis Bjorgaard, and Helmer Lind.
Albert Hodik was born April 8 1905 in Pine county to Frank and Bessie Dobesh Hodik. In 1916, he moved to New Solum township, Marshall county, where he grew to manhood. He was married in 1933 to Elsie Ranum Folowing their marriage, they farmed in New Solum township until 1948, when they moved to Newfolden. In 1968, they came to Thief River Falls and had since made their home here. Since moving here, he had been semi-retired.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters; Mrs Virgil (Bonnie) Nelson, St. Cloud; Mrs. Wendell (Shirley) Melo, St. Paul Park; and Mrs. Marvin (June) Johnson Thief River Falls; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister, Josie Hustad of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edward.
