ANDREW L. PADGETT

Andrew Lyle Padgett, age 55, of 5445 Dinkins Road, Hastings, Florida and formerly of Bedford County, died Friday, May 20, 1988 in Hastings, Florida.

He was born in Bedford County September 2, 1932, a son of the late Winston Merritt Padgett and Annie Laura Arthur Padgett.

He was a disabled vetran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Lemon Heights Baptist Church in Palatka, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor C. Padgett; a son, Barry L. Padgett, Hastings, Fla., Bonnie Hull, Goode; four brothers, Glen Padgett, Pascagoula, Miss., Reid Padgett, Roy Padgett, both of Forest, Douglas Padgett of Monroe; three sisters, Glenna Wray, Roanoke, Jeanette Padgett, Forest, Carolyn Graves, Miss.; four Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rex F. Adkins officiating.

Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park with full military honors by the American Legion Post No. 16.
