Friends may call Wednesday at Millersburg Christian Church from 5-8 p.m. A celebration service of Josephine's life will be held, also at the church, on Thursday at 11 a.m. with pastors Larry Hasemeyer of Gateway Fellowship and Trevor Littleton of Millersburg Christian Church. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg. Alexander Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
She was born March 2, 1930, in Millersburg, the daughter of Perry P. and Esther (Mast) Hochstetler. She married (William) Bill Hochstetler on Nov. 24, 1949, who preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2009.
Josephine was a lifelong homemaker who spent her time loving and caring for her family. She was know as "Mimi" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a never-ending source of encouragement and love to each one of them. She was a devoted member of Millersburg Christian Church and enjoyed the company of her many friends at the Holmes County Senior Center and throughout the community.
She is survived by three children, Billi Jo (Larry) Hasemeyer, Ric (Julie) Hochstetler and Robin (Les) Roach, all of Millersburg; eight grandchildren, Emilie (James) Abeyta, Adam (Erin) Hasemeyer, Andrew Hasemeyer, Evan Hasemeyer, Brittny Ridenbaugh, Casey Hochstetler, Micah Roach and Caleb Roach; five great-grandchildren; the extended Eustache family, RoRo, Eline, Karl, Kimberly and Kendra; and brothers Nile (Sharon) Hochstetler of Safety Harbor, Fla., and A. Dean (Barbara) Hochstetler of Malvern.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by infant grandchildren Michael, Gabriel and Angel Hasemeyer and a brother, Ivan M. Hochstetler.
