Nora Slone, 89, of Auxier, Ky., died January 13, 2011, in Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
She was born August 3, 1921, in Prestonsburg, Ky., a daughter of the late Lee and Nancy England Arnett.
She was the widow, of the late George Slone.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Auxier Freewill Baptist Church, Auxier, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, George Slone Jr. and Lon Clay Slone, three brothers, Oliver Arnett, Corbin Arnett and Joe Arnett, and one sister, Grace Bays.
Additional survivors include two sons, Larry Slone of Prestonsburg,Ky., and Virgil Slone of Dana, Ky., one daughter, Patricia Music of Auxier, Ky., one brother, Bill Arnett of Warsaw, IN., one sister, Leora Bradley of North Manchester, IN., six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Auxier Freewill Baptist Church, Auxier, Ky., with Bobby Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, Ky.
Visitation will be after 7 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011, at the church.
