He also directed many television series including, "Danger," "You Are There," "Climax!" "Playhouse 90," and "The Garry Moore Show." Frankenheimer was also a talented actor and producer, "The Manchurian Candidate" in 1962, was one of his best-produced films. He passed away at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, after a serious stroke on July 6, 2002. He was 72 years old.
