Daughter of Amos E. and Lillian Anna (Dennis) Dupont.
Baby Ida was born and died at 165 Union St., Springfield, MA.
Cause of death: Entero Colitis, contributory to Convulsions;
Age: 2 mos 15 days
Place of burial: "Almshouse Cemetery", Date of burial: Aug. 19, 1910
Undertaker: N.L. Byron, 18 Winthrop St., Springfield, Mass.
Grave unmarked, by number only.
My notes;
(according to terrible records, grave numbers around 1910 start with # 430 (infant) to # 439.
I was at Bay Path Cemetery, cleaning and trying to find the markers in Sept. 2000, not knowing my own mother's sister was buried here in 1910. I was probably standing right on the grave without realizing it.
I did find over 220 markers, but no # 430-439. The numbers didn't go in order. There were # 498 & 429 in one row, but then it went to # 15, 16 then #258 in Q section. In this area was an old crypt according to an old article. The caretakers who work for the park dept. said years ago around 1967-1968, their manager had them take away an old rusted metal object, which may have been the crypt. So this man had a large bolder placed where the crypt may have been.
