He married Juanita Nadine West on July 30 1948 in Fort Scott, Bourbon, Kansas.
Bill worked for years for Coyan's in Fort Scott Before starting his own carpet laying business Bill's Carpet Service. He also did carpenter work in his 'spare time'. I don't remember Grandpa when he was not building something unless it was a holiday and the family was there. Bill passed away peacefully from a heart attack doing what he loved...laying carpet in a house in Fort Scott.
Children: Delores Kay (Monroe) Ford Norris, Glenda Faye (Monroe) Chaplin Gage, and William Charles "Billy" Monroe Jr.
