PITTSTON GAZETTE -- MAY 12, 1945

George Lynn, 12 Tedrick Street, Pittston Township, a highly respected young man who had made his home in this community since birth, died yesterday following a prolonged illness. The announcement saddened his many friends in this community, although it was known for some time past that his illness was serious.
Mr. Lynn was a member of one of Pittston Township's most respected families. He was the son of the late John and Mary (McHale) Lynn. As a youth he attended Saint John's School, and later acquired the painting and paperhanging trade, which he followed as long as his health permitted. He and his brothers were mechanically inclined and they built a private machine shop on their own property; also a miniature railway which attracted much attention some years ago.
Surviving are his widow, the former Pearl Miller, of Washington Terrace, and these sons and daughters: Janet, Ida Pearl, June, George Jr., and Verna; also these brothers and sisters; James, of Philadelphia; John, William, Joseph and Mrs. Joseph McFadden, all of Pittston Township.

The funeral will be Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from the home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
