The son of James Elliott Clark and Emma Josephine "Josie" Wiles, Savannah was born in Enterprise, Shelby County according to his WWI draft registration he filled out. He was a farmer, and died from Accute Appendicitis, according to his death certificate, informant was Sigsbee Holder of Holliday Missouri.

Savannah was a jovial man who was loved by all. He loved his family and had many friends.
He sold hunting dogs all over the nation. On the day he died, the dogs howled an unusual howl of sadness when they came to take him to the hospital. His wife, Harriett, knew from the howl of the dogs that she would never see her husband again. She was right.

SAVANNAH CLARK OF LEESBURG DIES
MADISON, June 4---Following an operation sunday for appendicitis, Savannah Clark, prominent farmer of the Leesburg vicinity, died at 12:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at Woodland Hospital, Moberly. He became ill last Tuesday but was not taken to the hospital until Sunday. He was 46 years old.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Clark, Mr. Clark was born in 1888 in Monroe County and spent his entire life here. He and his wife, the former Miss Harriett Holder, were the parents of three children. The father, the wife, one son, Frankie Lee, the two daughters, Emogene and Lorene, one sister, Mrs. Fred Woods, Madison, and one brother, Tony Clark, of Ekalaka, Mont. survive.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. O. P. McKenzie, Baptist minister of Madison, at Oak Grove Church and burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison. The funeral hour has not been set.
