In 1898 Amanda married Ezra Francis (Frank) Bennett.
At the turn of the 20th century Amanda and Frank were residing in Wharton, Wharton County, Texas. Frank, Amanda and their children were in Wharton when The Hurricane of 1900 hit Galveston this Category 4 storm made landfall on Sept. 8. Wharton received heavy winds and flooding from the storm. Sometime after the hurricane disaster. Frank and Amanda relocated their family to Red Colony, Sevier County, Arkansas. Amanda passed away at the age of 42 years 3 months 16 days on November 7, 1906. Leaving her husband of 8 years a widower and her young children without their dear mother. Amanda is buried next to her Frank.
