Funeral services for Forrest Delano Pallesen, 47, Manila, Utah, were held Saturday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at the Manila LDS Church with Bishop William Briggs officiating.

Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gene Briggs, Paul Hayes, Dewey Erich, Marvin Atwood, Louis Potter and Gary Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles S. Willis, Rodney Schofield, George Olmsted, Stan Willis, Ivan East, Vaughn Miller, Alonzo Jarvie and Larry Clasen.

Mr. Pallesen died Wednesday morning, June 17, in the McKay Dee Hospital from head injuries he received the night before when he fell off a horse.

He was born June 16, 1934, the son of Nells and Dora Pearson Pallesen. He married Donna Slagowski on Sept. 19, 1952, in Vernal, Utah. He had been a lifelong resident of Manila.

He was a Daggett County Commissioner for two years, vice president of the Sheep Creek Irrigation Canal, and a member of the ASC Board. He was also a 4-H leader and a member of the Manila Lions Club. In 1969, he received an award for the Outstanding Farm Family.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, three sons, Raymond Forrest, Vernal, Boyd and Donald, Manila. He is also survived by two brothers, Delbert, Green River, and Allen, Dutch John, Utah, two sisters, Mrs. John (Mildred) Copyak, Rock Springs and Mrs. Leon (Bonnie) Sorensen, Huntsville, Utah.
