A life-long resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Shellie White Stewart. She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Edward Warren; a step-son, Rufus Warren, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Mona Ingle Warren and a great-grandson, Devin Donovan Phillips. She was a retired seamstress, a member of Brown's View United Methodist Church and the Ladies Quilters Group.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her husband of 65 years, Rufus A. Warren, Sr.; and a loving family of three daughters, Arlene Crowe and her husband Albert of Candler, Carolyn Wise and her husband Bob of Horse Shoe and Loretta Changery and her husband Michael of Weaverville; four sons, Bobby Warren and his wife Norma of Asheville, James Benny Ray Warren of Arden, Danny Warren and his wife Laverne of Candler and Dennis Warren and his wife Cecilia of Kernersville; a sister, Martha Stewart of Candler; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
