Mrs. Smith was born in Buncombe County and was married to Floyd Smith who died May 31, 2001. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie McCulloch and a brother Doyle King. She was retired from Square D Corporation after 25 years and was a member of Deaverview Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Wooten of Candler; two sons, Gary Smith of Easley, SC and Allen Smith of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Lisa Wooten, Scott Smith, and Mark and Adam Smith and one great-grandchild, Dana Smith.
