Rebecca was the daughter of Jacob and Eliza Jane Stains Deardurff. I have used this spelling from their headstones for the last name. Sadly, her father died in 1859 when she was 5 and her mother died in 1864 when she was approx. 10 years old. We originally found her living with her grandparents Aaron and Julia Stains on the 1870 census in Brookfield, Missouri and it has taken years to piece together her family members.
