Daughter of Botel Herman Eskelund (1854-1897)
and Alice Arilla Hutchinson (1866-1932
Married Forrest Whitham Memmott Sep 2 1908in the Manti Temple.
Katie's first doll's body was made of cloth and stuffed with sawdust. its head was made of china. She and her sister Anna each got one for Christmas. Hers had black hair and Annas had yellow. They had a lot of fun making clothes for their dolls.
In the summer they built an out-door stove made of bricks with a piece of tin on top where their mother taught them how to cook. She remembers making bread and had to have a pan on a chair so she could reach it.
