ASA ROUNTREE DIED FROM HEART ATTACK
Morgan County friends and relatives were shocked and grieved to learn of the death of John Asa Rountree, Sr., former prominent Hartselle resident at his home in Birmingham at 5:30 a.m. on July 9 following a heart attack.
Mr. Rountree was born and reared in this county and at one time was Editor of the Hartselle Enquirer.
Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Sumpter Smith, two sons, J. Asa Rountree, Jr., and McIver Rountree; one sister, Mrs. Neil Zeigler, of North Carolina; four brothers, J. L. Rountree, of Hartselle, Charlie Rountree, of Decatur, Dr. W. S. Rountree and J. R. Rountree, both of Birmingham.
