Muscatine, Iowa - Services for Carmelo Isales, of Muscatine, will be 10:30 a.m. today at West Liberty Church of God. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.

Mr. Isales died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at his home. Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born April 12, 1923, in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He married Alejandrina Isales in Davenport. During World War II, he served in the military. A memorial fund has been established.

Survivors include a daughter, Yolanda Perez, Muscatine; sons, Carmelo Jr. and James, both of San Diego, Miguel, Lemon Grove, Calif., Joseph, Hawaii, Samuel, Seattle, and Moses, Muscatine; 14 grandchildren; and a sister, Mercerdes Isales, and a brother, Herman, both of Puerto Rico.
