On June 19, 1926 she was united in marriage to Walter M. Sehnert, Presho, at Rapid City, SD. To this union were born two children, Walter Jr. and Judy.
Following their marriage they owned and operated a bakery in Fort Pierre, SD before moving to Plainview in 1930 and purchased the bakery of Strope and Tenney. That baker was known as Sehnert's Bakery until they retired in October 1966.
Since that time they had traveled extensively through the United States and Canada.
Mrs. Sehnert had many interest, she compiled and edited material for the community's Diamond Jubilee yearbook. She led the writing of the "Our Town" column for the Plainview News which covered a wide variety of subjects as the results of her keen interest in local events as well as national affairs.
Active int he Republican Party and in conservative affairs, she was State Americanism chairman of the Nebraska Republican Women. President of the Plainview Library board at the time of her death, she had been a member of the board for 30 years.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a charter member and past president of Chapter FE, P.E.O. and a past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as past President of the Plainview Woman's club. She was also a member of the newly formed historical society.
