Captain Alexander Gibson was a Shipmaster (Merchant Marines) for the Scotland-based Loch Line from about 1880 through the early 1900's. He moved to Glendale, California and lived with his daughter Jeannie Yeats Gibson and her husband Bryce Gillespie. Alexander later resided in Santa Monica, California
