Mr. Joseph Joe Rhoden, age 87, of Macclenny, Florida died Sunday, May 20. He had resided in Baker County and Macclenny all of his life. He was the son of the late Riley Rhoden and Nettie Johns Rhoden and the widower of his late wife of 62 years, Aline Rhoden.

He worked for Florida Power & Light Company and retired as an office supervisor after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Macclenny Church of God, an Army veteran of WWII, a former county commissioner with Baker County, a member of the I.B.E.W. Union for 60 years and loved to deer and turkey hunt with his family.

He is survived by his four children: Riley (Kathy) Rhoden and Angie (Harold) Griffis both of Macclenny, Jody (Lisa) Rhoden of Tampa and Dan (Kathy) Rhoden of Leesburg; One sister: Violet Boogie Rhoden of Macclenny; Seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11A.M. Wednesday, May 23, in the Macclenny Church of God with Rev. Shannon Conner, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Rev. Eddie Griffis. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny. Visitation will be from 6 to 8P.M. Tuesday, May 22 (TODAY) at his church. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, Macclenny, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.
