DANIELLE LORE OBITUARY

Danielle Lore did her best to put up a fight, but she eventually lost her battle with cystic fibrosis on Tuesday, June 29, 2004. At the age of 22, Danielle died at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan, where doctors and the staff nicknamed her "Bobcat" for her tenacity and courage. Danielle's family thanks the staff of St. Vincent's for the loving care given to their daughter. She knew about her illness and never let it interfere with her love of life. She recently returned on her 22nd birthday from a trip to Aruba. Family was an unbelievably important part of Danielle's life and she loved it with all her heart. Despite the severity of her illness and her knowing that she was facing the end of her life's journey, Danielle vowed to keep up her fight as long as she had her family around her. She fought bravely and died with her family at her side. Born May 13, 1982, in New Rochelle, NY to Frank and Laura (Ravenna) Lore, Danielle attended New Rochelle schools and was a graduate of the 2000 class at New Rochelle High School. She is survived by her loving parents, Frank and Laura. Her boyfriend, Carlo Petrazzi, who was with her until the end, survives her as well. She was the beloved granddaughter of Nan and the late Joseph Lore, and Reno and Grace Ravenna, and the beloved niece of Joey and Danny Lore, Bonnie Burkos, Gina Tutoni, and Reno Ravenna. Also surviving are her grand-aunts and uncles, many cousins, and many friends. Danielle touched so many lives and will be dearly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, c/o The Forester's Club, 198 Union Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 10:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, New Rochelle, NY. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery in New Rochelle.
