Robert R. "Bob" Carr, 82, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, in Bedford. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vitas Innovative Hospice, 2501 Parkview Drive, Suite 600, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102; the Alzheimer's Association-North Central Texas, 2630 West Freeway, Suite 100, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102; or a charity of your choice.

Bob was born Feb. 15, 1930, in Fort Worth to George Harvey and Maude Hollis Carr. He was a graduate of Polytechnic High School and served in the Army from 1951-1953. Bob married Eva Hooe, from Oklahoma, Aug. 14, 1954, they had three children. He worked at General Dynamics for 23 years and opened Bob's Printing in Hurst in 1972. After his retirement in 1985, Bob did cattle ranching for 12 years. He eventually settled in Hurst, spending his time gardening and visiting with family. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tommy, Jackie and Joe; and sister, Estelle.

Survivors: Wife, Eva Carr of Hurst; daughters, Donna Jett and husband, Mike, of Weatherford, Debra Kelly and husband, James, of Hurst; son, David Carr and wife, Imelda, of Amarillo; grandchildren, Christine Clark of North Richland Hills, Robert Carr and wife, Amy, stationed in South Korea, and Shawn Carr of San Antonio; brother, George Harvey Carr Jr. of Springfield, Mo.; sister, Idalena McElroy of Weatherford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
