Robert A. Troxell, 79, Roseland, died Friday, July 22, 2011, at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.
He was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Hughes) Troxell.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Jo Ann Troxell; five children: Therese Thomlinson of Altoona, Cynthia Graboski of Roseland, Ronald of Leesburg, Fla., Daniel of Roseland and Robert of Orlando, Fla.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Ruth Mulhollen and Donna Wilkinson.
Robert was a 1950 graduate of Reade Township High School and a Korean War veteran. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years aboard the USS Thuban. He retired as a long-distance truck driver.
Robert held a commercial pilot license, was a scuba diver and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Roseland Christian Fellowship. Interment will follow in Roseland Cemetery.
