One of the most prolific ministers and writers of the Church of Christ. He was originally a follower of Alexander Campbell and was converted from the Baptist Church to what was then known as the Disciples of Christ (Now the Church of Christ) He is well known for his numerous writings including "Lard's Commentary on Romans" and was the original editor for the periodicals "Lard's Quarterly" and "The Apostolic Times".
