She was the daughter of Wilhelm Heinrich Krome also known as William Henry Krome. He was b. 3 Jul 1842, Louisville KY, the son of an immigrant, Charles Wilhelm Krome (pronounced chrome like the metal). Her mother was Lucy Medora Gillham, nicknamed "Dora", born 13 July 1853 in what was then known as Edwardsville Crossing, Madison Co., IL, which was countryside then. She died in 1928. Minna was the wife of Ernest Augustus Delicate, a salesman. She was the mother of two.

Thanks to findagraver, Jeff Blakley (#48124075), for forwarding on Minnie's obituary found by his friend, Larry Wiggins, a family historian of the Homestead, Florida area; they explain that "William J. Krome was a prominent resident of this area."

Minnie's obituary was published in the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Dec. 7, 1953:

"Mrs. Minnie Delicate 74, of 417 Fourth street, died Monday at 6:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital in Alton, where she was taken Sunday evening after being stricken at her home. She was born Sept. 11, 1879, in this city, the daughter of the late William H. and Medora Krome. She was married to Ernest A. Delicate on Oct. 10, 1900. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Dr. William E. Delicate of this city, one daughter, Mrs. J. Spencer (Harriet) Shore of Cincinnati, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. P.L. Wilson of Miami Beach Fla., Mrs. Walter Greene of Mt. Vernon, Me., Mrs. G. R. Smiley of Key West, Fla., Mrs. F. W. Jones of Tavernier, Fla., Mrs. R. J. George of this city and five grandchildren. One brother, William J. Krome, preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the Weber funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday until Wednesday at 10 a.m. when final rites will be held from the funeral home with the Rev. F. L. Kinsman, D.D., in charge.
