Mrs. Mary Krome Jones, 82, a native of Edwardsville and widow of Dr. Fred Wade Jones of Alton, died Thursday in Homestead, Fla.
A resident of Tavernier, Fla. for 20 years, Mrs. Jones died in the Homestead Manor Nursing Home, where she had been a patient two years.
Born Nov. 1, 1899, she was a daughter of William H. and Lucy M. Gillham Krome of Edwardsville.
Her husband, an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist at Alton, died Nov. 16, 1950.
Funeral services and burial will be Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
The Rev. Carl Bennett, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate at services at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel at the cemetery.
The Weber Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
