William Howard Miller, 84, of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, July 17, 2005, at Akron City Hospital. A Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church, Wooster, with Pastor George Peters officiating. Private burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Howard was born Dec. 3, 1920, in Walnut Creek to Orus W. and Iva (Hostetler) Miller and married Norma Zook on Sept. 21, 1947. She died March 22, 2001.
He retired from Rubbermaid Inc. after 30 years of service, and was a member of Grace Brethren Church.
Howard will be deeply missed by children, Brad Miller and Sandy Nickles, both of Fredericksburg, Fred (Jan) Miller of Orrville and Charlie (Jill) Miller of Canton; grandchildren, Ryan Nickles, Renee (Bob) Raber, Tony (Stephanie) Nickles, Josh (Mandi) Miller and Matt (Sarah) Miller; a great-grandson, C.J. Miller; and sisters, Francis Mast of Walnut Creek and Ruth (Raymond) Starner of Millersburg.
In addition to his wife, a son, Wendell Lee Miller, a son-in-law, Vern Nickles and brother-in-law, Gerald Mast, died previously.
