Jane was my Great Aunt. She was the 2nd child of Jesse McCauslin & 3rd wife Nancy Ellen Bennett. She was raised by Mormons who were direct descendants from wagon trains. She and my Great Great Grandmother were sisters (Sarah Ann McCauslin 1855 to 1932).

She married Thomas Lewis in 1870. He died in 1885. She had 2 children from that union, one that died as an infant, the other at 15 yrs old. She married John Grier on Nov. 4, 1887. He was from Fife, Scotland (1838 to 1907) and passed in Provo, UT. That union produced my Great Aunt Ella Reve Grier Polglase (1888 to 1975)& 3 other children. Two of those died as infants. A male child, Kenneth reached adulthood. (1893 to 1960).
Aunt Jane was named for her father's 2nd wife Mary Jane who died in route on the wagon train.
By 1930 she was living in Los Angeles with her daughter Ella & husband.
Cemetery records show she died in Los Angeles & is buried in Provo beside her husband John.
