Hattie Wikstrom , 85, Thief River Falls, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1993, in Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, where she lived since Jan. 5, 1993.

Hattie Geoline Borsvold was born March 29, 1908, the daughter of Hans and Augusta (Molstad) Borsvold, West Valley Township, Marshall County, where she grew up and attended school. She worked on farms as a housekeeper year round and hired out to restaurants, cooking and waitressing. She married Arvid Wikstrom Dec. 3, 1933, in Thief River Falls. They lived on a farm near Strandquist, Minn., until 1945. They moved to Holt, Minn., where they lived until Aug. 4, 1992. She then moved to a nursing home in Hallock, Minn., and later to Greenbush (Minn.) Nursing Home in September 1992. Her husband preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughters, Myrtle (Mrs. George) Janssen, Glenwood, Minn., Helaine (Mrs. Carlyle) Hanson, Roseau, Minn., and Beulah Wilstrom, Holt, Minn.; a son, Dallas, Thief River Falls; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clarence Borsvold, Strandquist.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis; grandchildren. George and Janet;
brothers, George, Edwin, Henry, Carl, Earnest, Leonard, and Theodore.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls.
Burial: Wikstrom Cemetery near Standquist.
