Laura Anna Eisenman was born on August 2, 1891, in Tylersburg, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Albert Ambrose and Sybilla Nancy Hoover Eisenman.

She was the second eldest daughter of five children: Blanche Alice; George Christian; Cathryn Christina; and Bertha M. Eisenman.

On February 14, 1917, Laura Eisenman and Fred M. Kightlinger were married in Oil City, Pennsylvania. The marriage license and certificate were recorded in Forest County marriages 1897 – 1926, #196, page 196.

They had three children: Bertha M born in 1919; a stillborn male born in 1923; and Fred Merl Kightlinger Jr, born in 1926. They also raised their niece Anna M. Plack.

OIL CITY – Mrs. Laura A. Kightlinger, 79, of 17 E. Seventh St., wife of Fred M. Kightlinger, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday in Oil City Hospital where she was admitted Sunday.

She was born August 2, 1891, in Tylersburg, a daughter of Albert and Nancy Hoover Eisenman.

Mrs. Kightlinger was married February 14, 1917, to Fred M. Kightlinger, who survives. The couple observed their 50th wedding anniversary four years ago. She had been a resident of Oil City for the past 56 years, coming here from Tionesla.

She attended Grace United Methodist Church and was a member of the Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Fred M. Kightlinger, Jr. of Holden, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. C.F. (Blanche) Carlson of Oil City and Mrs. Edward (Kathryn) Netzler of Erie; and three grandchildren.

Friends will be received any time in the Louis H. Osenrider Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Hugh Crocker, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
