Althea Gray
JANUARY 19, 1921 – OCTOBER 3, 2015

Our sweet, beautiful sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and friend slipped into eternity peacefully on October 3, 2015 and reunited with her husband Jesse R. Gray. Thea was born to Clarence and Zelma Jensen on January 19, 1921 in Moroni, Utah. She had a wonderful childhood growing up in rural Unitah Basin and graduated from Altara High School.

Thea then went off to the big city and attended L.D.S. Business College. She married Jesse R. Gray on January 20, 1943 and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She worked at Fort Douglas, Morton Salt Company and Sabol and Rice where she made many friends. Of far more importance, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After her retirement she cared for her beloved grandchildren. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and until her health declined, attended the Salt Lake Temple weekly and her Mountain View II LDS ward. She lived in her Sugarhouse home for 67 years with the exception of the last 3 weeks of her life.

Thea was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Dean and Clair Jensen.

She is survived by a brother, Kenneth, and children, Rodney Gray and Janine (Keith)Radley; grandchildren Jesse, Christopher, Brian and Nicole Gray, Kysa and Keith Radley III and five great-great grandchildren, Grace, Elsie, Jack, Radley and Keith IV.

Funeral services for Thea will be held on Saturday, October 10 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 South Highland Drive). Friends may call from 12:00-12:45 and the funeral will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at the same location.
