Rosalea "Rose" Torie, 84 of Marysville, Washington passed away October 30, 2014 in Everett. She was born November 6, 1929 in Darrington, Washington to Charles and Cora Slater. She graduated from Darrington High School. Prior to marrying Albert in 1966, Rose worked as a telephone operator in Seattle, Washington. She was an 'Avid' Husky and Seahawk fan. She loved gardening, canning, providing for her family. Rose also enjoyed numerous fishing trips out of Westport. She was a league bowler for Strawberry Lanes for many years. She is survived by her children, Sally Westrick, Marvin Torie and Anita (Kevin)Buck; her brother, LaVerne (Helen) Slater; six grandchildren, Damon (Caryn) Matz, Philip (Tera) Westrick IV, Michael Torie and Andrew Westrick; and eight great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ashten, Blaik and Camilia Matz, Emma Loomis, Philip Westrick V, Kemper Westrick, and Brooklyn Westrick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1999. A celebration of Rose's life will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Vi & Glynn's Pub, 10321 State Ave, Marysville. If you wish, the family asks that you bring your favorite dish and stories to share. Please wear Husky or Seahawk colors in honor of Rose.
