Peter Mustachia Had Been
Resident of Pine Bluff 40 Years
Funeral services for Peter Mustachia, 53, for many years the owner of a local shoe repair shop, and a pioneer resident of Pine Bluff, who died suddenly last night at his home 1114 West Barraque Street from a heart attack, will be held Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Services will be conducted by Father W. J. Tynin.
Mr. Mustachia worked Friday but complained of feeling badly about 10 o'clock last night. He died at 10:45 o'clock.
Mr. Mustachia was born of Italian parentage in New Orleans on February 22, 1874. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Mustachia. He moved to Pine Bluff 40 years ago and opened a small shoe repair shop.
He was a member of the first volunteer fire department in Pine Bluff, later enlisting in the organized fire department. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Pine Bluff A. O. U. W. Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, five sons, Nick, Tom, Joe, James and Toney; three daughters, Misses Blanche, Mary Elizabeth and Annie Mae; five brothers, Toney, Joe, John, frank and Thoney; and two sisters, Mrs. John Laxton and Mrs. Annie McCullough, all of Pine Bluff.
Active pallbearers will be: Frank Franey, Jim McGaughey, J. L. McBurnett, Toney Sylvester, Sam Vaulx, Neddo Marino, George Merrill and Charlie Lehnert. Honorary-Walker Jones, Sam Battaglia, S. Holley, Zeke Carver, J. R. Freeman, Charles Barranco, George Morris, M. R. Stewart and Frank Stewart.
Ralph Robinson and Son will be in charge of funeral arrangements.
