Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 22, 2008, in the United Methodist Church, Allison, Texas with Rev. Ricky Carstensen, Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Wellington, Texas, and Rev. Tom Woodward, Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Wheeler, Texas officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Shamrock Cemetery, Shamrock, Texas under the direction of Wright Funeral Home. Biography: Mr. Harris was born September 25, 1940 to Fred and Cora Harkins Harris in Wheeler, Texas. He was in the National Guard serving during peace time. Mr. Harris married Barbara Stembridge June 23, 1961 in Childress, Texas. He lived in the Wheeler and Kelton communities all of his live. He worked as a farmer, rancher, and owned Harris Mobile Home Services. Mr. Harris was an active member of the United Methodist Church and the Lion's Club. He was a member of the Kelton School Board for many years and a supporter of the Kelton Community.
Survivors: Wife: Barbara Harris of Kelton, Texas, 2 Sons: John Harris of Ponder, Texas, and James Harris of Amarillo, Texas, 1 Daughter: Karla Benson of Brock, Texas, 2 Grandsons: Justin and Chase Harris, 1 Sister: Lorene Bernard of Amarillo, Texas, and Many special friends from his church family
