L. Lorene Barnard 90 of Amarillo died Friday October 10, 2008.

Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel with Glen Walton officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Lorene was born July 06, 1918 in Texola, Oklahoma to Fred and Cora Harris. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Kelton High School in 1936. She moved to Amarillo when she was 19 and married George Barnard on October 03, 1939 in Amarillo.

Lorene loved the Lord and was a member of North Amarillo Church of Christ for more than 60 years. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.

The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to all the kind and caring personnel at Odyssey Hospice.

Survivors include a daughter Linda Rangel-Thompson and husband Bill of Amarillo; three grandchildren Randy Glenn Rangel and wife Maria and Lori Renay Martinez and husband Anthony all of Amarillo and Ronny Linn Rangel and wife Shari of Cleveland, Oklahoma; and four great-grandchildren: Michael, Amber, Madison and Sophie.
