Louisa, or Lula as she was called, is the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Louisa Phillips Endicott. She was born a twin into a family of twelve children. She was born in Leavenworth County, Kansas and later her family moved across the river into Platte and Jackson counties in Missouri. She married her first husband, Noah E. La Rose, September 16, 1884. They had two boys, Roy and John. Noah died nine years later in 1893.Both boys died at the age of 19 from tuberculosis. Then on February 18, 1895 Lula married Alva Remy in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. She and Alva had a daughter and son. Their daughter, Bessie, died at sixteen from typhoid fever.
Lula suffered great loss of so many loved ones.
