DEATH OF A SISTER OF SIR JOHN FRANKLIN. — Mrs Isabella Cracroft, widow of the late Mr Thomas Robert Cracroft, of West Keal, Lincolnshire, and last surviving sister of Sir John Franklin, and celebrated Arctic voyager, died at Dorking on April 1. Another brother of the deceased lady was the late Sir Willingham Franklin, Knt., Chief Justice of Madras. The late Sir John Franklin, who was knighted in 1829, died in the Arctic regions on June, 11, 1847. [Southern Weekly News - Saturday 14 April 1883, p.2]
