Albert R. Everitt, age 72, of Joplin passed away Sunday Aug. 16, 2009.

He was born on July 12, 1937 in Webb City to Harry R. Everitt who passed on June 14, 1948 and his mother Elizabeth May Abbott Everitt Carter who passed on June 21, 1984. Mr. Everitt was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and the American Legion and VFW. Mr. Everitt served his country serving 9 years in the US Army and 11 years with the US Airforce.

Survivors include a wife Constance (Mitchell) Everitt whom he married on March 1, 1963 in Phoenix City, Alabama of the home, sons Albert R. Everitt Jr. of Noel, and Rob Everitt of Joplin, daughters Connie Everitt of Joplin and Cindy Young of Carterville, MO. Sisters Maxine Hunnell and Carol Arrowood both from Carthage and Louise Fairbank of Silver Creek. Grandchildren Amy, Blake, Elizabeth, Tyler and Paige. Also preceded in death were two sisters Juanita Rector on October 25, 2003 and Donna Riddle on August 24, 2005.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church of Carthage.
