Fern Marie, 95, passed away at 5:50 pm, Wednesday March 16, 2011 at St. Luke's Nursing Center. Fern was a 1934 graduate of Neosho High School. She was a Carthage resident since 1956. She was an active member of the McCune Brooks Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered her time in the gift shop. Fern was a member of First Baptist Church of Carthage.

Fern is survived by two sons; John Boatwright and wife Sharon, and Kent Goddard and wife Sharon, two daughters; Noline Davenport and husband Larry and Carol Owens; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two loving friends and caretakers, Brenda and Robert Wilkinson.

Fern was preceded in death by one son, James Lee Goddard, three brothers, Harry Williams, Leon Williams and Wayne Williams and one sister, Ray Joines.

Visitation was from 11:00 to 12:30 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Ulmer Funeral Home with graveside services at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery.
