Ray was reared in the New Market vicinity. His father was T.M. "Garve" Dougherty, banker in that vicinity, who died in 1927. His wife and 2 1/2 year old daughter, Janice Rae survive him, also a brother, Ralph, of Kansas City. His business career has been in both Clarinda and Omaha.
Among those who are here for the funeral, which is being held this Monday afternoon at 2 are Mr and Mrs Ralph Dougherty of Kansas City; Mrs Alvina Squires of Denver, Colo, mother of Mrs Dougherty.
