Ethel Melvin,93, of Paintsville died Sunday, at Lexington Center for H&R, Lexington. Born Sept. 20, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Commodore Trusty and Daisy Risner. She was a Big Sandy Drug Store cook and a member of the Southside Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ballard "Chigger" Melvin. Survivors include two sons, Gary Melvin of Winchester and Edward Ray Melvin of Lexington; two sisters, Wilma Allen of Dayton, Ohio and Tressie Mauk of Wheelersburg, Ohio; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday, April 3, at Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Dick Vanhoose officiating. Burial was in the Mayo Cemetery. Paintsville, under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
