Rectina Jane McCoy was born at Sparta, Wisconsin, December 20, 1889, the Daughter of James Ruben and Esther Covey McCoy.
Rectina grew up at Sparta, and Married Fred Schumaker ther November 21, 1914. Mr. Schumaker died in 1918. Rectina moved to Grygla Minnesota in 1919, where she married Charles Laughery on August 12, 1928. The Couple farmed near Grygla until moving to Crookston, Minnesota in 1958, where Charles was employed by the Sanitation Service. Charles died February 7, 1963.
Rectina entered Riverview Nursing home in 1975, and lived there until her death. Rectina was proceded in death by her parents, husbands, one daughter, six grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by 4 sons, Leonard Schumaker, Crookston, MN: Harold Schumaker, Cass Lake, MN; Jesse Laughery, Crookston, MN; Wesley Laughery, Hillsboro, ND; 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Florence Parson, La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Rectina died at Riverview Nursing Home, Tuesday afternoon, March 4, 1980 at the age of 90.
