Weston, Neb., April 12.--(Special)--Charles Stevens of Weston, died at the Lincoln hospital Sunday, after an illness of several weeks. He was taken there for an operation for appendicitis and appeared to be recovering from the operation when he was taken ill with typhoid fever. A hard fight with the dread disease ensued and after a protracted siege he began to mend when cirrosis [sic] of the liver set in, resulting in death. The remains were brought to Weston Monday and will be buried this (Friday) afternoon. The funeral services will be in charge of the Knights of Pythias lodge at Weston, of which the deceased was a member. Mr. Stevens was an honest, industrious young man, 32 years old. He is survived by his widow and an infant child, who reside at Weston, his father, mother and three brothers, who live at Portland, Oregon, and who are on their way to attend the funeral, and one sister residing at Calloway, Nebraska."
